Close by are the rivers Axe and Coly, beautiful small rivers which offer quality trout and sea trout fishing by fly at night. We can organise permits and guiding to fish on private stretches of these rivers and hire suitable tackle outfits. Also nearby are two superb but very different still water trout fisheries, Lower Bruckland fishery and Amherst farm, both trout master waters.

Whilst not a grand fishing Hotel on the banks of a famous river, the area offers visitors an excellent chance of catching a range of species in spectacular surroundings, at very reasonable or no cost at all, ideal if you just need a few hours off on a family holiday!

However, tuition for both sea and game fishing can be arranged with local professionally qualified instructors, or we can just point you in the right direction!
